Lactation Consultant

Major duties include provision of lactationconsultant services to inpatient mothers on the post-partum unit and mothers ofinfants in the NICU. Services include direct assessment, planning, interveningand evaluating of lactation services, development of relevant policies andprocedures, education for the health team, and participation in dischargeplanning and follow-up activities related to lactation consultationservices. Other responsibilities would include teaching PrenatalEducation classes and outpatient lactation consults. Salary range: $23.23-$46.41 Hourly

* Current IBCLC and BLS, required * 1 year experience, preferred * NICU experience, preferred * Demonstrate an understanding of basic medicalterminology and abbreviations * Ability to organize and prioritize work tocomplete assignments in a timely manner
