Summary:
This role will be supporting our Engineering department in their day to day operations, with a primary responsibility of researching projects, invoices and POs to prepare for the close of one fiscal year while assisting with the budget process for the next fiscal year.
Responsibilities:
Entering, tracking, and monitoring Engineering orders, asking questions, and ensuring that the order has all of the required components, including budgetary funding.
Monitor and track spending on all projects, including PMO projects
Work with vendors and internal staff, cross-functionally, to determine and document the timing of shipments and invoices.
Support the building of a new fiscal year budget, helping to create templates and timelines for the team.
Research, identify, and solve financial anomalies
Ability and interest in identifying and implementing operational improvements
Administrative support as needed, including but not limited to, assisting with the creation of presentations, securing budget meeting locations, booking meetings and conference rooms, etc.
Requirements:
Impeccable attention to detail
General knowledge of accounting functions, terminology, and processes
Thorough understanding of Excel and Google Sheets
Ability to make decisions, analyze and solve problems while prioritizing job duties
Excellent multitasker with a team player mentality
Strong verbal and written communication skills
In-depth knowledge of Workday and the project process or have the ability to learn new software and adapt quickly
